WORKING WITH TOBACCO AS A SACRED MEDICINE
A 6-month (12-Session) GROUP MENTORSHIP COHORT

Tobacco, like most sacred medicines "discovered" by colonial capitalism, has been misused, appropriated, exploited, distorted, commodified and sold back to the world as addictive poison. However, TOBACCO, is actually a sacred medicinal plant who can become a powerful ally on this human journey.
Abuelo Tobacco can support our healing journey in a myriad of ways, from helping us work with ancestral grief, to facilitating a deeper listening and communication with Spirit. Master Plant Guides can help us on our healing journey by addressing different areas of blockage or disconnection in our lives. Tobacco is considered a Master Plant by Indigenous cultures across the world.
During our six-month apprenticeship with Abuelo Tobacco, we commune with him via the Ancestral Elixir microdose tincture, which is prepared under the guidance of my teacher, Abuelo Don Carlos Jesus Castillejos, Mayan-Toltec elder residing in Tabasco, Mexico. Don Carlos Jesus Castillejos imparts elements of the ancestral wisdom of his lineages in working with the Sacred Medicines, and adapts to the modern mentorship space with the understanding that the afflictions of modernity (rooted in disconnection and trauma) are often different from those of ancestral and intact Indigenous cultures. Don Carlos instructs us on how to work with the ANCESTRAL ELIXIRS in ways that are safe and applicable to modern contexts.
Our mentorship container affords us a space for deepening Tobacco's teachings, learning how to apply the medicine to our own lives and those we work with, if we are engaged in the healing arts, learning respect and right relationship with this powerful plant spirit, as well as receiving support in areas of our life that might require deeper exploration and tending.

This program is a 12-Session group mentorship commitment. Each a cohort will be comprised of 6 or 8 individuals who will embark on a journey working with Tobacco together for a period of 6 months.
Program includes:
~ Bi-weekly (every other week) cohort meetings for a total of 6 months (12-sessions)
Meetings will be 90 minutes long and will include:
~ Invocation
~ Ancestral wisdom shares for working with Tobacco as a Sacred medicine
~ Grief tending space as needed
~ Mentorship support for different aspects brought in by mentees
~ A container of mutual support and accountability partnership
~ Question and response time regarding mentorship curriculum for working with Tobacco
~ Individualized ritual recommendations (as needed or requested)
~ Closing of the space
~ 4oz bottle of Ancestral Elixir Tobacco Tincture mailed to your home.

Ancestral Elixirs INDIVIDUAL & Group Mentorship ProgramS
I am not accepting 1:1 Mentees at this time.
Two Year-Long Group Mentorship Cohorts (3-4 persons in each cohort) will open April 27, 2026.
Master Plant Guides can help us on our healing journey by addressing different areas of blockage or disconnection in our lives. We commune by ingesting them daily for a given period of time (depending on the circumstances), while engaging in soul mentorship and dreamwork for deepening and integrating our experience.
The Earth has generously provided immense assistance for our human journey via the Sacred Earth/Plant Teachers. The Ancestral Elixirs are ceremonially prepared micro dose tinctures of Master Plant/Earth Medicines such as Tobacco, Cacao, Olioliuqui, Cempasuchil, Wachuma and other powerful allies.

This program can be completed in either 6 months to 1 year to support the mentee's work with specific Elixirs.
There will be 12 mentorship sessions that can either take place bi-weekly or monthly.
Program includes:
~ Bi-weekly or monthly meetings for a total of 6 to 12 months (depending on frequency of meetings).

1) Invocation

JouRNEY WORK:
PREPARATION & InTEGRATION
This offering is for people who are planning a journey with a plant or earth medicine, and would like a container of support before and after to create the best possible conditions for the greatest possible outcomes.
Journey Work
Ceremony and communion with plant & earth Medicines are powerful experiences with vast transformative potential. However, while it might seem that the work begins in the ceremonial space, the bulk of the healing and transformation happens outside of ceremony. Preparation prior to ceremony is crucial — creating a container for holding clear, strong intentions, clearing our minds of bodies of habitual unhealthy patterns, and engaging in practices that will support our journey. Just as important to our journey is our ability to sustain the opening, connection, and information that guides our healing, post ceremony, which is where integration plays a crucial role.
Once upon a time, life itself was ceremony. We lived in a village, in a network of connections with other human beings, the unseen world, and the vast web of life. Our lives were guided by the cycles of Nature, the Sun, the Moon, the Elemental forces… Often in ceremonial spaces we get a glimpse of this ancient way of existing. Then we return to our "regular" lives, and the sense of expansion and connection can slowly start to dissipate.
In life we can observe a pattern of expansion and contraction that permeates existence. We see these patterns in our breath, in our circulatory system, in the cycles of nature, and birth and death. Ceremony creates an expansive state that, for most of us, is followed by an eventual contraction. Integration work helps us track this process in our psyche and bring in the necessary awareness for continued exploration and healing. It also allows us to establish practices within a system of accountability so that the spiritual work continues to unfold, and old patterns and wounding do not reclaim us.
This preparation and integration work will be facilitated by Maribel Ramirez, Mentor, Community co-Healer. She has over 13 years experience on the Plant Medicine Path.
